Sleepy Head Is Dangerous

Morning is always a big problem for me. Although I always set my alarm clock at 7, I will end up with snoozing it for a half an hour before I really get up from my bed. Then, I will run to the office with a sleepy head. Well … I bet most of the people in Singapore experience the same thing since whenever we exchanged our morning stories, everyone will tell almost the same story. Or maybe you can just have a look around when you’re taking morning MRT.

But this morning I learned something about sleepy head. Going to work with a sleepy head is a terrible idea. Why? Because it might ruin someone else’s life. Yes, I’m serious. Here’s the story…

There was this super big fat guy who was walking aimlessly into the train right before the door is closed. He was standing right in front of me facing me directly. Since in the morning MRT is always crowded, our position was very close to each other, especially our faces. From that moment, I could tell that this guy seemed terribly sleepy. He was hardly trying to open his eyes and sometime he muttered and mumbled. Then, that’s when the tragedy was taken place. It turned out that he was really sleeping then slowly he started opening his cute rounded mouth and … kkkkkkhhhhhh ….

My Lord almighty God… please forgive me of all what I did. But please don’t do this to me…

I still can feel his morning breath blown directly to my innocent nose like a summer breeze in Kuta beach and I can tell what he had for breakfast.

I still can see that it seems this morning he didn’t really have enough time to brush his teeth so that some little pieces of his breakfast meal was still there.

And that’s how a sleepy head has ruined somebody else’s life.
